Monarch Awarded The Grove Extension

7 AUG 2024

Monarch is pleased to announce that we have been awarded the Design and Construct contract for the Gold Creek Extension to The Grove. This new development will be constructed adjacent to the existing retirement village in Ngunnawal, owned and operated by Keyton.

The project site spans a total area of 4.8 hectares and will deliver 45 new two- and three-bedroom independent living units (ILUs) with internal garage access and private covered alfresco entertaining. It also includes the restoration of the historic Gold Creek Homestead, which will be transformed into a purpose-built amenity space surrounded by green open spaces and manicured gardens for residents and the community to enjoy.

The design will incorporate a minimum 7-star energy rating, compliance with Adaptable living requirements, zero threshold transitions throughout, Passive House compliance, and a minimum 5-star green community rating.

The objective of the project is to create the ultimate community for senior independent living. Future residents of The Grove’s Gold Creek extension will benefit from moving into a well-established community with quality leisure facilities. Additionally, this new precinct will help meet the high demand for independent living retirement homes and residential aged care in Canberra.

Civil works are currently underway, with construction set to commence later this year.
