Fishing tournament lands big catch for local charity

25 FeB 2021

The Annual Bream Tournament is an honoured tradition here at Monarch for employees, subcontractors and suppliers to come together over one weekend at Tuross Head to catch fish, socialise, and raise much needed funds for a local charity.

This year was no different, with the tournament entering its 14th year and over 130 people participating. The charity event was a great success raising $14,820, matched dollar-for-dollar by Monarch to total $29,640 donated to this year’s charity partner, Raw Potential Canberra

We had the pleasure of welcoming Paul Kane, Chairman of Raw Potential Canberra, and Peter Gordon, CEO of Hands Across Canberra, at our office to receive the cheque for the $29,640 raised from the event.

The donation to Raw Potential Canberra was received in conjunction with the Hands Across Canberra Annual Giving Day Appeal and continues a strong relationship between the local building and construction industry and charity.

Raw Potential Chairman, Paul Kane said, “We are incredibly appreciative of this generous donation at a time when the need for our services is at a peak. The team at Monarch Building Solutions have demonstrated repeatedly their commitment to their community and for us to be the beneficiary of their efforts and everyone who participated in the event is just so heart-warming.

We would like to thank all of our sponsors and those who participated in the charity event. This donation would not be possible without your support.
